Information about Victoria Primary School
Victoria Primary School is a co-educational Primary School with a Nursery Unit run under the auspices of the North Eastern Education and Library Board. Current enrolment stands at 536 +52 Nursery. Staffing is Principal +22 teachers

At Victoria Primary School we aim to offer children a wide range of activities, in order to provide a full and balanced education. We believe in hard work and good scholarship in class, with pupils being encouraged to reach the highest standards within their capacity. While being alive to the limitations of the individual, we would nevertheless wish to persuade our pupils that their reach must always exceed their grasp. In particular the school aims to cater for the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children during their primary schooling.

We strive to work within such broad aims as the establishment of good relations, tension- free discipline and the development of self confidence and self respect.

Our purpose is the acquiring of knowledge and skills in terms of Literacy, Numeracy and Scientific skills, a sensitivity towards the arts and physical well being. Through the curriculum we would seek to develop a set of reasoned attitudes, values and beliefs which will enable the children to become contributing members of the community.

For many students the anticipation and excitement of a new school year was cut short when Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast. We have found some of the colleges and universities in other areas that have opened their doors, and often their wallets, to help students continue their education. K-12 schools are also opening their doors to help children find structure and a safe environment to learn after this tragedy. While this is by no means an exhaustive list, here are some of the institutions and resources that are helping those in a time of need.Colleges, Universities Offer Hurricane-Displaced Students Opportunities to Continue Studies Via Society for College and University Planning Listserv Comprehensive alphabetical listing of Community, Graduate, Management, Law, Dental & Medical schools, colleges and universities around the globe. degrees, listings, admissions, colleges, university, universities, schools, community, graduate, management, dental, medical, law, business, mba, masters, bachelors, education, engineering, higher studies, subjects, united states of america, world, finance, financial assistance, taxes, student loans, part-time on-campus jobs, summer jobs, scholarships, bursaries, co-op programs, admissions, students, teachers, professors, lecturers, guide, portal. Each US state administers its own system of higher education, known as public colleges or universities just as local governments and cities operate their own public K-12 school systems for local residents. These institutions receive most of their funding from the states they are located in. Private schools, on the other hand, do not receive the same primary funding from the state and federal government but often receive financial support from benefactors in the private sector.
